If you have never had a Reiki session, the hardest part is often simply not knowing what to expect. So here is the whole thing, plainly.
You arrive and we sit for a few minutes. You share what brings you in and what you would like to set down, only as much as feels comfortable. Then you lie back on a comfortable surface, fully clothed, and settle in.
Then you rest
For the next stretch of time, gentle energy is guided through the body, either with a light touch or with hands held just above you. There is nothing you need to do. Most people feel warmth, a soft settling, and a mind that gradually grows quiet. Some drift off entirely.
When we finish, we come back slowly. You will have a few minutes and a glass of water before heading back into your day, usually feeling calmer and a little lighter than when you arrived.
A gentle reminder
Reiki is a complementary practice for relaxation and wellbeing. It sits alongside, and never replaces, the care of your doctor or mental health professional. If you are curious, that is reason enough to try.
