We are surprisingly good at carrying things. A hard conversation, a long season, a worry that never quite resolves. We tuck them away and keep moving, until the weight becomes the baseline.
The trouble is that the body keeps a quiet record. Tension settles into the shoulders and the jaw. Sleep gets thinner. The mind stays half-braced, even in calm moments. None of it is a failing. It is simply what happens when we hold on for a long time.
Making room to let go
A session does not add anything or fix anything. It makes room. In a calm, unhurried hour, the nervous system finally gets the signal that it is safe to soften, and the things you have been gripping can begin to move.
People often describe the feeling afterward as lighter, as though they set down a bag they had forgotten they were carrying. That is the whole aim: not to become someone new, but to feel like yourself again.
If any of this lands, you are welcome to come and set something down.
